In line with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, these emissions, which stem from assets managed but not owned by KIBB, are classified as off-balance sheet and, therefore, are excluded from KIBB’s corporate GHG emissions inventory. Nonetheless, monitoring and disclosing these emissions enables a more comprehensive understanding of the potential climate-related risks associated with managed assets. By reporting these financed emissions separately, KIBB reaffirms its commitment to transparency, responsible investment, and alignment with global best practices in climate risk assessment and disclosure.
